A hearty congratulations to the 25 writers listed below who have been longlisted for the 2021 Mogford Prize for Food & Drink Writing.

Making it onto the longlist is a huge achievement given that, despite an unusual year for all, our annual competition attracted a significant number of entries yet again from all over the world…

In the coming week, our longlist entries will be reduced down to this year’s four shortlisted stories. At which point we’ll announce the names of these incredibly talented writers, one of which will be winning the prize fund of £10,000.

The winner of the 2021 prize will be announced in April ’21, once our two guest judges, Lemn Sissay OBE and Mick Herron, have helped us decide the worthy winner. The winning story, along with the three runner-up stories, will then be published on this website shortly afterwards.
