Mogford Prize

2013

In 2013, Jeremy Mogford founded the prize wishing to celebrate the arts and his longstanding link to literary Oxford. As the founder of The Oxford Collection, and having enjoyed a lifetime of success in the hospitality industry, Jeremy decided his competition would relate specifically to food, drink or both…

2021

Each year we invite the winner, the three runners-up, and their guests to join us in an awards ceremony and celebration in Quod Restaurant & Bar at the Old Bank Hotel in Oxford. The candidates are offered a complimentary night at one of The Oxford Collection’s five star hotels for the evening of the awards.

The exceptions, of course, were in 2020 and 2021 when due to the pandemic and COVID-19 restrictions the ceremonies had to be cancelled. We did, however, in addition to their prizes, offer each short-listed candidate a complimentary night for two in one of The Oxford Collection hotels to be taken at their preferred time.

2022

Providing there will be no more restrictions on gatherings we are planning to have a different type of celebration for 2022 so we can include the short-listed candidates of the two previous years. Details will be posted nearer the time.
